Bill Williams
Founder of Actives International, LLC
Bill Williams founded Actives International in June 1998. His new company represented the cosmetic ingredients produced by Contipro, and was later named the exclusive US distributor of ingredients made by CLR.
In 2000 Bill welcomed a partner, Dr Jon Anderson, who shared Bill’s vision that Actives International would be a preferred developer and supplier of active ingredients for the Personal Care industry. Together, they developed and commercialized their own line of ultra-high-purity, high-efficacy active ingredients, which they called ViaPure®.
Prior to founding Actives International, Bill held key positions at several companies in the Personal Care industry, including Fragrance Resources, Quest International and RW Greef. He worked at Henkel for ten years, serving first as Director of Marketing and Sales, and later as Vice President of Marketing and Sales in the Specialties Division.
Bill was born in Boston in 1942, and graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Management. He passed away in 2010, and is very much missed. The Long Island Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists created an award in his name, which honors the "honesty and integrity" of the man they came to know as "the quintessential golfer and gentleman".
